For generations, Saturday has been the traditional day to tie the knot, particularly in Western cultures. Yet some of the world’s most high-profile weddings, including those of many senior British royals, have taken place during the week. And today, couples are increasingly rewriting the rulebook when it comes to many long-held traditions, increasingly choosing celebrations that reflect their lifestyle, values and priorities.
